SARAJEVO, November 28 (FENA) – According to the official records of the FBiH Tax Administration, in 2020, 746 legal entities with 1,172 business units and 3,595 independent entrepreneurs ceased to operate in the Federation of BiH.

In the current 2021, in the territory of the Federation of BiH, 552 legal entities with 954 business units and 2,434 independent entrepreneurs ceased to operate.

“The number of registered or deregistered business entities changes during the year, which was the case both last year and this year. However, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH is not aware of the reasons why business entities deregister their activities. These can be business results, but also personal reasons why business entities decide to stop performing their activities,” the FBiH Tax Administration states.

According to the official records of the FBiH Tax Administration, in the period from January 1, 2021 to October 31, 2021, in the procedures of forced collection of public revenues, 6,739 Decisions on collection of tax liabilities from funds and 954 Decisions on suspension of payment transactions through taxpayers’ accounts were issued. Pursuant to the Law on the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH and the Rulebook on Procedures of Compulsory Collection of Tax Liabilities, it represents measures of compulsory collection – blocking of accounts of business entities.
