FBiH Agriculture Minister Dedić visits wheat fields and flour producers in Odžak

ODŽAK, March 6 (FENA) – The FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Šemsudin Dedić visited the sown wheat fields and flour producers in Odžak.

During this visit, Minister Dedić talked with representatives of the milling industry about the increased demand for flour on the domestic market but also received assurances that the quantities owned by these mills are sufficient until the next harvest.

Minister Dedić pointed out that the Government of the Federation of BiH has already taken steps to help agricultural producers at the beginning of this year.

“At the last session of the Government of the Federation of BiH, we instructed the Directorate of Commodity Reserves to prepare a decision which would allocate 50 liters of fuel per hectare of arable land to each agricultural producer.

The budget for agriculture has been increased by 19 million KM compared to last year with the aim of greater support for agricultural producers.

In addition to the additional funds for farmers, it is important that we have the operability of the Program of financial support in agriculture and rural development and the dynamics of disbursement of funds, which depends on the FBiH Budget for 2022, whose adoption we expect as soon as possible,” said Minister Dedić.

Finally, it should be noted that our domestic companies “Klas”, “Majić”, “Nezić” and others have the capacity to process sufficient quantities of wheat and supply to the home market a high-quality flour that meets the needs of our citizens so there is no need to panic and create unnecessary stocks, stated the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
