SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) – At today’s online business forum organized for representatives of BiH business diaspora, BiH Entrepreneurs, local communities, relevant ministries, chambers of commerce and associations in the field of metal sector and related industries the participants announced new joint investments between BiH diaspora and local entrepreneurs.
A forum and b2b meetings with BiH diaspora “Potentials and perspectives of investing in the metal sector and related industries in BiH”, was organized within the project “Diaspora for Development” (D4D) implemented by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH and the Government of Switzerland, in partnership with UNDP BiH, IOM BiH, Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA and partner municipalities.
The Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH, Mirsad Jašarspahić, pointed out that to have a stable part of the supply chain, it is necessary to establish a strong connection with BiH citizens working in global companies, in leading positions.
Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Stuttgart Began Muhić said that there is great interest in BiH diaspora and BiH business people operating in the diaspora to transfer part of their businesses to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We need to promote the country and the business environment in order to interest investors and businesses in cooperation and investment in BiH.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most favorable countries for investments in the whole of Europe, and it is valuable to point out positive examples in order to show a positive climate for investment,” added Muhić.
The second part of the Business Forum was reserved for individual b2b meetings. More than 60 meetings were held between companies in BiH and representatives of the business diaspora, and new partnerships and new investments in BiH have been announced.
