Contracts for Roma housing program in BiH for 2020 signed today

SARAJEVO, December 28 (FENA) – Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Miloš Lučić signed today in Sarajevo a grant for the housing program for Roma in BiH for 2020 in the amount of one million KM.

Funds were allocated to 13 local communities in BiH – four in the entity of Republika Srpska, eight in the Federation of BiH and for one project in the Brčko District.

Minister Lučić said that this program includes the construction of 24 new housing units and the rehabilitation of 30 existing housing units.

He added that the program also included the engagement of Swiss CARITAS and local communities that will enable the implementation of this program and that the implementation of the project lasts for one year from the date of receipt of funds.

He also stressed that these are not the only grant funds allocated by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees for Roma.

“We will allocate another million KM for Roma employment, education and healthcare,” Lučić pointed out.
