Dodik: I would meet with Izetbegović and Čović, but without foreign officials

NOVA TOPOLA, October 10 (FENA) – Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik stated that he was ready to talk to any domestic politician in BiH, but without the presence of foreign officials.

Dodik pointed out that the claim of the SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović that he refused a meeting with Dodik was not true.

“Two days ago, someone noticed a statement from Izetbegović, who said that he refused to meet with me. That, of course, is not true. It is true that the ambassadors of the European Commission asked Izetbegović to mediate and organize a meeting between me, Izetbegović and Čović,” Dodik told reporters in Nova Topola near Gradiška, N1 reports.

He stated that he agreed to that meeting only on the condition that there were no foreigners and added that Izetbegović probably refused that meeting.

“I am not running away from talking, but not in the atmosphere with the presence of foreigners who have shown everything they think about the Serbs,” said Dodik.

“Foreigners here have a condescending attitude and ignore all the problems we pointed out in connection with the Constitutional Court of BiH and the High Representative. They still think they need to govern us. I reject that and that is why I did not want to meet with anyone in an arrangement created by foreigners,” Dodik emphasized.
