SARAJEVO, March 2 (FENA) – BiH Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović today thanked Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić for showing solidarity with BiH in a situation when, as he said, global multilateral mechanisms for the procurement of vaccines have failed.
After the meeting that the members of the Presidency of BiH held with Vučić at the Sarajevo airport on the occasion of the donation of Serbia of 10,000 vaccines to BiH, Džaferović said that the vaccines would be distributed to the Federation of BiH through the Council of Ministers of BiH.
He added that the meeting also discussed important issues related to bilateral relations between the two countries and overall relations in the region.
“Solidarity, mutual respect, resolving open issues through conversation and agreement are the principles on which BiH wants to build relations with its neighbors,” Džaferović pointed out.
He reminded that BiH showed solidarity by sending medics to Novi Pazar when the pandemic was at its peak.
“Our peoples live in all countries of the region and we need to finally start relaxing overall relations,” said Džaferović.
He pointed out that he therefore supported Vučić’s proposal to hold an economic forum between BiH and Serbia in the coming months in Belgrade.
