Murphy’s nomination for US ambassador to BiH sent to the Senate

WASHINGTON, July 21 (FENA) – The nomination of Michael J. Murphy from New York, a diplomat with a long career, for US Ambassador to BiH has been sent to the Senate, the White House announced.

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, announced this nomination at the end of last week, together with six others, and in order for the appointment procedure to be concluded, it needs to be approved by the Senate.

Murphy currently serves as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.
