OSCE calls for zero tolerance regarding political manipulation and hate speech

SARAJEVO, July 26 (FENA) – The OSCE Mission to BiH calls for zero tolerance when it comes to negative rhetoric, political manipulation, hate speech and provocations in both public and private spheres in BiH.

This was answered to FENA’s request to comment on the announcements of the BiH Presidency member from RS Milorad Dodik, after the decision of the High Representative Valentin Inzko, to ban the activities of BiH institutions in Republika Srpska (Army, SIPA, Prosecutor’s Office …), and those announcements on initiating the process of independence of the Republika Srpska, blocking the institutions of BiH.

According to them, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasizes that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina expect their elected officials to work to address their real daily needs and improve the provision of basic public services, promote transparency and the rule of law, and fight corruption.

“The inflammatory rhetoric of divisions, and the irresponsible actions of high officials, undermine progress and endanger the security and stability of the country. The OSCE Mission to BiH calls for zero tolerance when it comes to negative rhetoric, political manipulation, hate speech and provocations in both the public and private spheres in BiH. The OSCE Mission to BiH will continue to provide support to those institutions and authorities that are working on positive changes in the interest of all citizens,” the OSCE Mission to BiH told FENA.
