SARAJEVO, February 1 (FENA) – The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) welcomes the commitment of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) to hold talks as soon as possible on meeting the key criteria set by the European Commission for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this regard, the SDA calls on the HDZ BiH, in accordance with this commitment, to urgently and without delay unblock the process of implementation of the results of the General Elections held in 2018 at the level of the Federation of BiH, which would create preconditions for stronger engagement in all reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the reform of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, the SDA hopes that the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Finance in the BiH Council of Ministers, both from the HDZ, will finally propose three laws from their own sector, which are key to BiH’s progress on the European path – the Law on Conflict of Interest, the Law on HJPC and the Law on Public Procurement. The SDA notes that the proposals for these laws have been delayed for a year now.
The SDA adds that, if the HDZ’s commitment to European integration is truly sincere, it expects the elimination of all obstacles to further dialogue on meeting all the criteria in the integration process as soon as possible.
