Sarajevo City Hall illuminated tonight in solidarity with the City of Zagreb

SARAJEVO, March 22 (FENA) – The City of Sarajevo on Sunday evening sent a heartfelt and strong message of support and love to the City of Zagreb with the illuminated Sarajevo City Hall.

“As all of us are fighting the coronavirus pandemic together, the City of Zagreb has suffered one of the most devastating earthquakes in its history. The capital of BiH is sending a message to the citizens of Zagreb and all of Croatia that you are in our thoughts and prayers tonight. These difficult challenges we face will strengthen our friendship and deepen our cooperation,” said Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka.

Earlier today, he also sent a letter of support to Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić.

“I am convinced, Mr. Bandić, that you, the citizens of the City of Zagreb and the Government of Croatia will rise again and recover from this serious disaster, as we shall, by working together and in solidarity, overcome the coronavirus pandemic. Sarajevo never forgets its friends,” wrote Skaka.
