SARAJEVO, August 8 (FENA) – The “Bentbaša Cliff Diving 2021” competition was held last night for the seventh year in a row at the Bentbaša dam, a former popular summer gathering place on the banks of the Miljacka River.
The association “SporTur” from Sarajevo organized the competition.
The sports and tourist event has become a recognizable brand of the City of Sarajevo, and as Dino Bajrić on behalf of the organizer of the competition told FENA, 13 competitors from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina took part.
“We have been maintaining the tradition of diving on Bentbaša since 2015. Today, 13 of the best competitors in the region took part,” said Bajrić.
He added that the organization of the competition has been “suffering” for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were not in a situation to send invitations to competitors from other parts of the world, but that does not mean that we will not succeed soon,” he stated.
The winner diver was Evald Krnić (Montenegro), the second place went to Daragan Milnović (Serbia) and the third to Rade Šćepanović (Montenegro).
