FBiH registers 24.9 thousand tourists in March, mostly from UAE and Serbia

SARAJEVO, May 2 (FENA) – The total number of tourist arrivals in the Federation of BiH in March 2021 was 24,926, which is 48 percent more than in March 2020, and compared to February 2021, it is lower by 18.6 percent.

The share of domestic tourists in the total number of arrivals was 57.1 percent, and foreign tourists 42.9 percent.

The total nmber of overnight stays in March 2021 was 51,055, which is 55.3 percent more than in March 2020, and 15.7 percent less than in February 2021.

The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 50.5 percent, and foreign tourists 49.5 percent.

Most overnight stays were tourists from the United Arab Emirates (25.1 percent), Serbia (13.6 percent), Croatia (11.6 percent), Turkey (5.4 percent) and Montenegro (4, 6 percent) which is a total of 60.3 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted 39.7 percent of overnight stays, stated the FBiH Statistics Institute.
