SARAJEVO, September 29 (FENA) – The D-B Tunnel Memorial Complex, also known and the Sarajevo War Tunnel or the Tunnel of Hope as of today is offering to its visitors another unique experience – ‘Sarajevo War Tunnel VR’, where visitors can go through a virtual experience of the war tunnel as it was in its original state.
“In addition to audio guides in six languages and sign language guides for the hearing impaired, this is another step of the Tunnel “D-B” team in terms of offering the latest experience in information technologies,” Irfan Gazdić, a spokesman for the Public Institution of the Sarajevo Canton Memorial Fund, told FENA.
He emphasized that the project is completely in the context of modern technological developments, which makes it challenging and interesting, especially for young people.
“For the start, we plan to use VR for interactive projects with young people, because they certainly view the world through the prism of modern technological achievements,” he said, adding that the project contributes to the preservation of the culture of memory, which is the ultimate goal of all projects that the fund does.
The project coordinator Selma Rizvić brought together a team of top professionals to produce the project, the digital story is the work of Ahmed Imamović, and the narrators are actors Selma Alispahić and Boris Balta.
